Whenever I reboot or respring, all the apps have been moved around in random order, including the dock icons.

    I have 5 icon dock
I do not have 5 icon row or column

Do you have Kate? If so delete the folder MobileEnhancer.

    private\var\

I do not have Kate. Does it matter if I still delete that folder?

Well if you have that folder than I suggest you delete it. Though the guy above me is having weird problems because I deleted that folder myself just now, to make sure it worked, and nothing happened to my iPod.

Wow. You're probably going to have to restore. That's why I asked if it was ok to delete it before I went out and did something without the knowlege.

hmm ok... I'll try it out sometime... But I think I'll wait for now and see if there is a method with a better than 50% chance of fixing it.

Well if you want to have a jailbroken iPod I would suggest shift+click.
