    Hi,

When I copy over the .app folders using WinSCP, they only open for 1 second, and then close and take me back to my home screen.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks
    Eden

Are these apple apps or jailbroken apps?

Jailbroken apps. All apple ones work and the ones that I download from installer.app and cydia are all fine. Its just the two that I put on using WinSCP open then close after 1 second. Do I simply drag the .app folder into the applications folder of my ipod?

    Thanks
    Ede

it should work. if it doesnt try looking for the .ipa file for the same app and add it to itunes and then sync your ipod

If its a jailbroken app, there is no .ipa.

Make sure the permissions are 755 for the folder and set them recursively aswell

Not only is that completely the wrong information, its also not allowed on this website: Read the rules

    As for changing permissions:
    • Right click the folder
    • Select Properties
    • At the bottom theres a little box with a number in it, change that number to 775
    • Before you press okay, tick the checkbox at the bottom
    • Press okay and then try the application again
