Apps disappeared>help

    my friend was getting an app from cydia, and it was for a higher firmware,afterwards his apps nd everything disappeared. so if he updates will they be back, or will he have to restore???

    Ha! I believe that this is the apple killswitch at work.
    They have software that if they detect anything bad (ex, cracked apps or jailbroken apps) they can take them off without your consent.
    If your ipod is jailbroken, and im assuming it is, download sbsettings from cydia, open it and tap disable apple killswitch

    thanks for telling me what that was, i was woondering =). so he updated his firmware and everythings back.

    Wait i have the same issue and I have sbsettings but where is the disable killswitch??

    wait, does this mean that apple is monitoring our iPods at times? sh*t thats creepy! :S

    That's not the Apple killswitch. Your applications are just hidden. Check it out in SBSettings/Poof/BossPrefs and unhide your applications. Even better, simply reset all settings if you are able to. You can do this by deleting /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences or going into the Settings application.
