Well, I locked my iPod with the Volume rocker (up, up, down) and my brother watned to play with the iPod, but I wouldn't tell him to unlock it. after about 30 mins, he found a way to unlock it, and he went into my settings and put a random password on it. Is there anyway I get delete AppLocket? I can SSH into the iPod.

Please Help! I don't want to restore.

connect to the device via SSH.

    run the following commands:

    Code:
    cd /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/
    mv AppLocket.dylib AppLocket.disabled
    respring

That will simply rename the dynamic library so it won't be loaded my Mobile Substrate.

By SSH i meant with iPhoneBrowser. So how would I run the command? It might be possible, If I went on Cyder, downloaded SSH, and turn it on via SBsettings, then SSH?

    EDIT NVM.

    I just went to /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/
    Renamed AppLocket.dylib To AppLocket.disabled
    and re sprung.

    THANKS!

Good, now that it's not loaded into memory, you can open settings and disabled the password, then re-enable it.

For that you should be able to use SBSettings (More > Mobile Substrate Addons), otherwise, enter the same commands, but reverse the order of the mv command arguments.

Why don't you try making your own thread instead of stealing someone elses?

Leave him alone, it's perfectly fine for him to post here. Go take an aspirin.
