I was just browsing some news site and came upon this:
The report outlines the following conditions:

1)the iPad must be kept isolated in a room with blacked-out windows,

2)the iPad must also remain tethered to a fixed object to eliminate the possibility of it being taken out of the isolated environment.

3)all developers wanting a pre-release iPad for testing must also provide photographic evidence that they agree with Apple's conditions

Anyone else thinks this is a bit "extreme"? If I personally had the chance, I would not accept the iPad under these conditions, it'll take the fun out of the device

I would accept if I could. so what if it takes the fun out of it. you'd still get to use it pre-release.

I would do that. I don't find it extreme at all.
