I have a problem. I am getting 145 dollars from a company, and for Christmas I am getting a 8GB 1st Generation iPod Touch. If I keep it unwrapped in it's box and I bring it, and the 145 dollars to Apple will they take both of them (which would total to $375) to an Apple store will they give me, if I ask, a 32GB 2nd Generation iPod Touch (I am aware it is 399.99, I'll ask my Parents for the extra money.) Any information will be helpful.

    I dont think so...

You could try to return in for store credit, then use that, your money, and your parents money to buy the 32GB 2G.

To receive store credit... firstly, can you clarify what that is and if I need it to still be wrapped?

DOn't even try that at the Apple Store. Maybe Best Buy or Walmart.

So if you return it, instread of giving you actual money, they'll give you "store credit", which is "money" that can only be spent in that store.

    Kinda like a gift card.

But as jpga13 said, you might not want to try this at the Apple store.

If the person who buys it for you buys it brand new from say Best Buy or a place like that, you may be able to return it and get your money back which you could use towards the purchase of the 2nd-gen iPod touch.

But if you're trying to do a trade-in with it (plus a little cash) you won't be able to at the Apple Store, Best Buy, or anywhere.
