I wanted to get this out as soon as possible. Before I jailbroke my iTouch, I decided to call Apple and find out if I still had my warranty after I jailbroke it (yes, I actually called

). I talked to a lady from the genius place, and she said that they will replace IT ONLY ONCE after the jailbrake is done. This may or may not apply to the iPhone.... I think that may actually be on the verge of becoming illegal because I read an articale on CNET

So you are saying that if you jailbreak, they will replace it, but if you jailbreak it again, they wont?

I could not understand your post properly...

seems like a double edged sword to me...yea you may get your ipod replaced but in turn apple can gain insight into a users jailbroken device to see how its done and where...(the specifics) if they haven't done so already

I bet someone has already tried to jailbreak and messed it up and thought it was "bricked" and sent it back in

Yeah, but how will apple know "how many times" you've jailbroken?...
Cause in my understanding, if you restore to original, there's no way to tell that it's been jailbroken...

    Any answers??

They won't, all you have to do is restore before you take it to them.
