I am purchasing a MacBook when they get updated, rumors (And Apple sending out the notice's [TUAW article]say soon.
I have a few questions, if i can remember them all, about Apple's policies.
    1. If i were to buy a MacBook with Leopard installed, and in under 1 year later they release Snow Leopard (They will, Steve Jobs said so.) does Apple give you the option to get Snow Leopard for free? (I remember reading this somewhere that they do, but not sure.
    2. If there are problems with the new MacBooks when they come out, that are found after i buy it, can i return for a refund (Hardware problems, Software will get a Software update [10.6.1]) or store credit until it's fixed?

That's all of my questions i can remember right now, i may or may not add more to the list later on.

    Thank you,
    Stephen.4

    1. You will get the snow leopard update for free(I'm pretty sure).
    2. If your MacBook has problems they will fix it as long as it's under warranty, but if the new MacBooks have widespread problems they would send you a new, improved unit I would guess.

It all depends, It isn't a Major update. Just adding a few things to the inner workings.

I would only upgrade if you REALLY need the little things or if you're going to do heavy media related things.

Who knows, Apple may roll it out for Free to some people.

Im pretty sure they will give you snow leopard... however the hardware/software problems will probably not get you anywhere with apple...they are very stingy about that kinda stuff...

Snow leopard is mainly about streamling the current OS. Making it more stable/fast ect. Less new features.

What P0150N said, plus they're shrinking the OS size. Or at least trying to.
So faster, more stable, and smaller.

I know they have a 1 month thing. I.e. if you buy a Mac with Leopard 1 month before Snow Leopard comes out, they will give you Snow Leopard. But since this isn't a huge update, they may just give it out for free. But then again, it is a full new OS in a way...
