I'm just wondering if anybody thinks AppleCare is worth it.

It seems nice, and cheap for what they're offering.

Quick Q: Do they fix water damage? And what if it gets ran over?

The thing that I'm mostly after is the battery replacement. Since I use my battery like a cold blooded killa, I'll prob be needing a new battery at sometime. But I do plan on purchasing the new iPhone every year when it comes out.

    Thanks guys

No. They charge 1000$ for water damage.

Your battery is made to last 500 charge cycles (0%-100% 500 times or a total of about 500000%). Depending on how much you use it, it normally will last about 2 years... It's close to impossible to wear a battery (to what Apple calls worn) in one year... You should be good...

I don't know if it covers water damage (or accidental)... The second poster is incorrect with the cost.

the 1 year warranty it comes with is more than enough. i only used mine twice, once for each ipod i have owned.

Well, I just read on Apple's site that it says they do NOT cover water damage. But while talking to Apple support the other day regarding a question with my new iPhone 4, the spokes person told offered me the Applecare protection plan and said "If you drop your phone in the pool, we'll replace it" (They do this right after they help you, their like "Would you be interested in...")

Thanks tinyman, I only charge it prob once every two days but I do it keep it plugged in my PC a LOT

Well I purchased it, compared to other warranty's it's relatively cheap. you go buy something from Futureshop, or Best Buy the warranty tends to be around 1/3rd of the price. I'm down to pay 10% for a warranty.

Well I'm not sure about Target. I don't have any Target stores in my city, I'm not even sure if we have one in Canada. I will tell you that most places charge about 1/3rd on expensive electronics:

As you see they are quite expensive comhttp://store.apple.com/ca/configure/MC605C/A?mco=MTgxNTgyNDcpared to the $79 Apple Care
