Apple using Windows computer for Baseband work?

    So, today I decide to open up and explore the iPhone 3G restore ramdisk for 2.2.1, and I came across something rather interesting when I looked at this file:

    I open it with QuickLook, and:

    Notice anything odd? This is written at the top of the file:

    Why is Apple working on their baseband from a computer created by their competition? I'm not completely 100% positive that this is what it really means, but I just thought it was amusing.

    Windows XP, nonetheless.

    We use their computers for Windows, and they use ours. What's the big deal?
