My USB cord from Apple ripped today. It still works, but I would like to get a new one. Is it possible Apple would replace this? It's just a tare in the plastic, you can see the wires, btw.

You can buy replacements from Tandy, Dicksmith etc.

I'm pretty sure Apple doesn't extend the warranty to cover cables... that's pretty standard across all electronics. However, you could try taking it in to your local Apple dealer as they may just swap it. Worth a try.

most stores that sell ipod etc will probably sell the cables separately so just look for one at a store

The new cables are crap. I prefer the older ones with the bigger dock connector.
