This is a discussion thread for the "Apple Unveils iOS 6 with Over 200 New Features" story posted on the front page.
iOS 6 is compatible with: iPhone 3GSiPhone 4iPhone 4S iPod touch 4th generation iPad 2The new iPad Btw, We need to add an iOS6 thread. Then add a "find all 200 features" post again
I was regretting selling my old iPod touch 3G because I could have had a testing device... Oh wait, nevermind Eh. With it being this close to my vacation and no computer too boot I can't risk using my phone as a tethered testing device.... Really looking forward to the new maps though! And maybe Apple isn't going to make Siri auth so hard anymore since they have a whole new line of devices to authorize.
I won't use Passbook, I won't use Facebook integration. FaceTime over 3G is a cool thing but it will consume lots of mobile data, just like maps will. Siri being updated with a sh*tload of features that won't be available outside of the US (just like most of them are now). Only thing that could be useful/interesting is declining calls (what the heck did Apple take so long to implement such a basic feature?) and the redesigned stores. All in all a wasted update.
I second this. Apple has removed some semi-useful features to replace them with useless ones for those of us in other countries. The fact that once iOS6 is released you are forced to upgrade due to firmware signing makes it even worse. Thanks to Jailbreaking I can stay on my perfectly good 5.x.x firmwares. Mountain Lion will be good so I can take advantage of display mirroring to my Apple TVs.
