apple tv jailbreak 1600 error?

    i just got a micro usb from amazon.com to jailbreak my tv 2 and i put it into dfu mode but when i try to restore to a custom firmware and im get a error. it a 1600 error any ideas how i could get through the whole process without any errors?

    Your not in proper DFU mode.

    hmmm... im still getting the 1600 error, how do you do it properly???

    Try redownloading the ipsw. I had this issue before and redownloading it through itunes seemed to fix it.

    Remove the custom wording from the name of the ipsw

    error 1600

    Is the 1600 error the same as a 21 error ?

    I'm in the same boat, Ive tried re-downloading the firmy and re naming the file only with the same results and its in DFU mode you can check in windows in system properties under USB devices you will see apple TV in DFU mode, and if its not it will just say apple tv. But ya I've tried all day just keep getting the 1600 error.

    You can try on another “DFU” mode. Some times improper mode selection may cause problem. So try this out.
