This makes sense. Apple is simply releasing an updated "new iPad" with nothing changed asides from the switch to a Lightning connector. Anyone that still has a new iPad with 30-pin dock connector can use the adapter if necessary.

It makes sense for all of their mobile lineup to sport the new dock connector.

I highly highly doubt this, apple very rarely makes changes to a product after its been released. Way more likely for them to just wait for the next gen ipad to make this change.

This is true, but i also doubt that there would be 24 different models, i cant see them doing colored ipads and thats the only way that would be possible. Even though its 9to5 mac i wouldnt expect this to be true.

By different do you mean releasing a slightly taller iphone that's basically the same as last years model?? Not being a fanboy of any kind but I was very disappointed with the release. The iPod was more interesting.

No, different marketing and releases. The iPod was more interesting because we knew nothing about it.

It would make sense. I yes they do make changes. October last year Apple refreshed the mbp line by increasing the hard drive size and a slightly faster processor.

Sounds very very VERY un-apple to me.
