According to The BusinessInsider, Apple are to hold an invite-only conference for iOS developers. It is said to go on for 3 days and will be based around making an effort to improve the quality of the apps. As the release of iOS 4.2 is next month, this is a good time for Apple & Developers to meet.
What do you think of all this?

Game Center was just released. Give them a break.

    Anyways, hopefully this is true.
Developers need to be able to implement their apps within the OS better.
The sandboxing limits are far too tight and limited.

More retina games would be great.

The sandboxing is there for a reason. It creates security in the device.

When things aren't sandboxed, technical support becomes a problem. When they are sandboxed, you can tell exactly what apps are doing it. When they aren't, it can be any of them and the only thing the tech support can tell you to do is to restore. Lots of people have trouble with jailbreak tweaks because of this exact problem. You don't know which one is causing it. You have to test them one by one to figure it out.

So if developers don't like the sandbox (most of them don't mind on the AppStore because they have no intentions on doing other stuff outside the app), they can always develop for the jailbroken community.

Agreed, although many of the apps are already begining to support it. Old, I mean ancient old, apps will never get the update because the developer is done with the app and doesn't want to update it. But there are plenty of apps on the app store that support the retina.

i hold apple to a higher standard than you other companies such as microsoft and google. So no i am not going givin them a break. there sh*t cost more so more is expected. they just need to do small tweaks, such as a chat server.

    Yeah really
Chat could probably be the best thing they could add into game center
