Thats all talk. They wouldnt dare shut-down the itunes store.
If they lose money every time someone buys a song, it would be in their best interest to shut down the operation. Did you read the whole article? It explained their reasoning quite well.

Oh there are tons of people who still buy Media from the iTunes store.
Agreed. Although I can't understand why 9 to 15 Cents would deter anyone from buying music though. I do believe they would close it down if they were losing money, that's obvious.
The "9 to 15" cents is to be paid by Apple, they could easily raise the price to cover the higher royalty. However, that would mean no more $.99 songs, which is near and dear to Apple.
