Apple tablet/iSlate OS?

    ok so we all think this new apple device is coming out, exciting yeah? What do you guys think the islate will run on? iphone OS? a ported version of snow leopard? or a completely new OS??
    I personally hope that it will be a ported version of snow leopard, although that would make it more expensive and then i wouldnt care.
    any thoughts?

    I expect it to be somewhere in between. As in not quite as basic as iPhone OS, but not as full fledged as OS X.

    If they do port Snow Leopard then it will have to be stripped down quite a bit (SL requires 2GB of RAM by itself). Possibly doing away with Aqua/Quartz and the Finder in favor of its own UI.

    It will almost assuredly run some form of iPhone OS. Why? Because Apple is in love with the App Store.

    Even if it looks like Snow Leopard, it will run .ipa apps.
