Early this morning I came across a blog by OhDoctah. This blog lets you send in questions, about basically anything you want, and the "doctah" will give you his unbiased opinions. This is a little more interesting though. In this video he asked the viewers a question.

Is the Santa Monica Apple Store racist? Watch this video and I'll leave it up to you to decide.

i dont see how u could be suspicious of someone as a thief when they ask you for a specific product in a calm & cool manner. it's not like he was hovering around the products with clothes that covered his identity (hat, sunglasses). i wont say the store is racist...maybe just those employees for even considering him a thief if he was really that calm & courteous

It certainly sounds like the employees were acting inappropriately. I'm surprised he still ended up giving them his money after getting treated like that, but I guess if your laptop dies, you need to bite the bullet.

Just as a warning to people, stay on topic and do not let this degenerate into a political discussion.

Racist. That is a shame. Some can only look skin deep.

I myself, do not like the race card being pulled, but this story makes me side with OhDoctah. While there is the lack of the other sides input on this, from here it looks to be racist.

    Just my thoughts:
    • The Store employees acted stupidly (especially if the story is the way he tells it, more on that in a moment)
    • The manager should have apologized. As a line from Star Trek goes, "The Captain is responsible for his crew."
    • The man (I'm assuming he's the Doctah) harbors some racist feelings of his own (perhaphs understandable, since he was treated that way at the Store).

Obviously my thoughts. But remember: There are always two sides to a story.
  10. I don't think I'd call it racist as they never really saod anything that could give you that impression; however I would defonately call it overly suspicious and provocative, so say the least.

Personally I would have walked straight out if that had happened to me.
