Lol me too, I suppose it's because of articles like this and the success of the iPhone 4S that are helping inflate the share prices.

Let's just hope that future revisions of Apple products help keep Apple on top of their game.

The Trefis Model for Apple is interesting, iPhone currently makes up 53.7% of stock prices

IMO the stocks went up because Apple announced they would release their quarterly earnings. Their stock always goes up because of that. Apple never dissapoints at those things.

Why do the front page bloggers keep talking about how the 4S wasn't disappointing? When since does the amount of sales and excitement over a product change what the product has to offer? The fact remains that the 4S isn't what it should have been. (Though it is still a very good product.. just not that much better than the 4.)

It was the fastest selling iPhone ever. Period. Also, people shouldn't have been expecting these great, vast features when it was due for a minor update. We got an A5 and amazing, along with the bonus Siri. It wasn't a failure as people thought.

Stats show otherwise. People didn't need a new design to have an incentive to buy the product. That's all there is to be said.

FYI, the iPhone is on a 2 yr major update cycle. Next update will be big followed by another minor update the following year. No reason to keep crying about what is the reality of the product cycle.
