And the problem with Passbook, of course, is when the battery runs out...

For some reason I can't connect to the portion of the app store that the passbook stuff is in, is anyone getting that error?

Good point. Imagine going to the airport and your iPhone dies on you and you have no boarding pass to get on the plane!

Doubt that would happen though I'm sure people will make sure they have a charged iPhone if they plan on using passbook.

They have outlets all throughout airports, though. So you'd think that even if it died you would have your charger in your carry-on.

I think this would be unlikely, but I'm sure it will end up happening to someone one of these days. They'll probably even try and sue Apple over it.

You have to make intelligent decisions. If you travel, you have the convenience of the iPhone, but also make sure to bring a hard copy of your confirmation and boarding pass. Also, if you travel make sure to bring a map from AAA as a back up or at least a stand alone GPS. What happens if for some reason there isn't in coverage in your area? Be smart and always have a back-up, well at least I do. But again, I'm not a kid anymore. I've learned from my past mistakes.
