    Hi, Everyone.

This is my first post here, so I apologize for it being sort of rant-ish. But am I the only one who thinks that the process of buying any sort of add-ons is akin to getting your teeth pulled? For me, a brand new IPod Touch 64GB owner, it's HELL trying to figure out how to buy peripherals for this thing.

After many years of of avoiding Apple products like the plague, I finally got seduced into picking up one of these admittedly awesome mini-computers. So now, when I want to do things like maybe interface it with the outside world in creative ways and start shopping around for accessories I run up against "compatible with 2G but not 3G" and so forth. Fine, I can read. But then, going to Apple's online store, there's no mention of 3G - only 1G and 2G. So I talk to one of their reps and he says there IS no such thing as a 3G IPod touch - just some vendors have taken to calling it that.

GREAT. So then, how am I suppose to make an accessory purchase with any amount of confidence that the device will actually work with MY IPod? Is it just me, or has Apple created an after-market nightmare?

Okay. Sorry for all that. Thanks for letting me vent. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    Regards,
    John

Technically it is not considered a 3G iPod Touch. If you look here, it's considered the 'Late 2009' model. To get accessories, all 2G accessories should work with the 3G/Late 2009 model.

I really couldn't care less what some high school drop-out store assistant says, my 64GB iPod Touch is still far superior to any model of Touch that was available prior to September '09, fact.

Technically it does. As blackra1n works with all devices. 2gen and 3gen.

But it doesn't work for the older jailbreaking programs.
