Apple Replaces whole iPad for battery issues

    Yea, I saw this on Engadget. It's kind of inconvenient too because you lose all your data.

    At least iTunes backs a lot of it up for you...

    But really, why would Apple do this? It can't be cheaper for them, can it? Unless you get a refurbished iPad back, instead of a new one.

    True, but unless you back it up every day, then you'll always be at risk of losing something. It's not like you're going to know when the battery is gonna stop working. It's unexpected.

    So does this mean that the ipad wont have a 1 year warranty like my 1G ipod touch had? The battery started sucking after 10 months and they replaced it for free.

    It probably will. But even after the 1 year warranty, they'll replace your iPad if the battery stops working.
