    How is that good, though?
Apple just took away your opportunity to *try out* a 20-dollar app.

This either means they don't give a s**t about the try-before-you-buy principle, or they've got an ace up their sleeves and are going to present an App Store-wide trial system at WWDC this year. I'm truly hoping for the latter ;)

(I agree on the iWork '12 thing, though. It's about time!)

Trial versions of iWork were like a gateway to piracy

Not really. Those who really want it bad enough will probably be able to find a copy. This is crazy. Most PC publishers provide a free trial version. Why should Apple be any different?

iWorks is about the third the price of Microsoft Office for Mac Suite. I see no problem with it bc it was a means of piracy. As far as PCs go...all the stuff they put on the computer is trial junk basically...I hate the warnings "subscription...your free this or that has ended". Mac isn't loaded with Bloat ware/ crap ware

Ditto. Exactly why they had to take it down. I was waiting fir them to do it bc I know people who did...
