Apple has updated its promotional ads for the iPad to remove video and images demonstrating Flash capabilities.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple's advertising agency, Media Arts Lab, was urgently requested to change the video.

We've just got word from our source at Chiat/Day Media Arts Lab that they make fake optimized web pages for all of Apple's commercials -- which load faster. In this case they made optimized images to take the place of Flash and are redoing them as we speak. So probably no Flash.

Ah well, no flash support doesn't put me off this, i barely visit flash sites.

Maybe site like Hulu etc will make apps to access their videos and stuff? i don't know.

Yeah, i guess it will take a while to have all videos converted and if they make the app and then apple rejects it then it will be a waste i guess.

But it will stop everyone from relying on flash and make the iPad ALOT better.

Hulu app is pointless to me, since I won't be living in the US.

I breathed a sigh of relief at seeing flash would not be on it, so that's encouraging. The only good thing that'd do would be shut up the people who are whining about not having flash...who probably won't buy it anyway.

It is, but there are ways to make your device/computer look like is in America, so you can get it.

Exactly. There would only be a few games they could actually play well, unless they used the keyboard dock.

I just thinks it's best if flash based sites and games are made into apps, games are much funner as apps and they are easier to sell.
