    what the hell is this?

"According to support discussions and their own description pages, Apple has removed the ability to add events in the iPod touch's calendar, even while it uses the same operating system and application frameworks as the iPhone"

    It's gone for me.

    I cant add events anymore.

    Help or ideas?

    I need it to work.

    I have 1.1.1 jailbroken.

They didn't officially re-add the add event function until firmware 1.1.2. However, if you have installed Community Sources then go into Installer and down to the Tweaks section. There should be a "calendar fix" tweak that will give you that feature in 1.1.1.

It was added in 1.1..2, but it's just a setting somewhere anyway.

If you have the installer, install

    Touch Calendar Fix

    That should do it.

When you jailbreak it, it is installed automatically, you don't need to install it manually.
This only works with firmware version 1.1.1.
