Before on 3.1.2, Terminal showed my memfreq as 100 MHz. I noticed a major performance boost in 3.1.3 and more free ram, so i checked the ram frequency. NOW IT'S 200 MHz. APPLE OVERCLOCKED THE IPHONE RAM IN 3.1.3!!!!!!!

Well I'm using Linux right now, so I can't upload my Terminal screenies. I'll upload them tomorrow.

Just go to terminal and type in sysctl -a

Then found hw.memfreq. it's 200000000 or something now.

Any speculation on if the potential RAM increase was for all devices that are running 3.1.2 or just the iPod Touch 3g? The reason I'm asking is because I have a 2nd gen 8gig, and I would like to have more ram available also

    It's probably only for iPod 3Gs. Not sure though. I don't own a 2G.

Hopefully it's for older devices. Maybe not 1g, but hopefully 2g

    1 Open Terminal
    2. type in sysctl -a
    3. scroll until u see hw.memfrequency, and if it's overclocked, u should see 200000000 or something.
