The reason the iPod Touch is running faster in 1.1.2 is because apple overclocked the CPU and the Bus Speed from 400MHz -> 412MHz (CPU) & 100MHZ -> 103MHz (FSB)

    Checked & Noticed using SysInfo

Actually, the processor is 667MHz underclocked to ~412. This is fine. the reason it is faster is because Apple used different compiler options and optimizations when compiling this firmware.

It's fine. It keeps the thing cooler, puts less stress on the hardware and saves battery life.

Ah, sorry for the mislead, I wasn't familiar with the CPU specs. I do notice it getting warmer then usual. But overall the JB for 1.1.2 is pretty slick!

    EDIT:
Sorry for this off-topic question but I don't want to trash the forums with another thread, does "Dock" consume the battery faster?

Not to my knowledge. It's just another app, that's all.
