This is a discussion thread for the "Apple Now Shipping Lightning to 30-Pin Dock Adapter" story posted on the front page.
Yeah, it's annoying. They have this one too: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD824ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter-02-m
I think it's logical to send the accessories and then the iPod Touch because then the accessories will be in your hand before your get the device. Thus, you will get used to the accessory.
Why is it totally unusable in docks? The the thinness of it is about the same size as an iPod Touch, probably even thinner than the 1st gen was and there's pretty much no wideness. Unless tallness mattered it will work with all docks. It would work perfectly with the Sony surround sound system dock I have.
