apple mobile device not working

    itunes says that apple mobile device is not started and i went to service and tried to start it and it wont can any one help me
    ok every time i plug in my ipod touch in my pc itunes tells me that "this ipod cannot be used because apple mobile device service is not started" i go to "control panel "then to "administative tool"then go to "service" then i look for "apple mobile device" it says start so i click on and it wont star it tells me that "apple mobile device service on local computer started then stopped. some service stop automatically if the have no work to do, for example, performance logo alert service. i then right click on it then went to properties click on dependencies" it said "this service depends on the following systems components "it has a computer and next to it if says +TCP/IP Protocol Driver
    +IPSEC Driver
    any idea what that means

    Not started? You mean not turned on? Please be more specific, also, posting screenshots always helps.
