I think for the time being the only use for ARM processors in a laptop would be the lower end Macbook Airs...
That would require OSX to be ARM and x86... Remember, Apple got rid of PPC in the later revisions of OSX to save space. I doubt they will do this. I don't see them doing the conversion unless everything goes over. But that'd be an idiotic decision in my mind.
These SoC's would be great for battery life but if you actually care about running anything that requires heavy lifting ''Fast enough" just wouldnt cut it. I can assure you i am genuinely thinking about jumping ship to a windows ultrabook that has decent specs
Yuck! The only way this'll work is if there is both a ARM and x86 processor in the computer. That way ARM apps can be developed and everything will work great. Then kill x86!
