Well my iPod was getting pretty full of memory, so I decided to reset it. I went to the settings and went to reset and took off all of the data. When I try to start my iPod, it shows the Apple logo, then after around 15 seconds, it shows the Apple logo with the spinning circle, but the circle is not spinning. My Mac doesn't find the iPod and I don't know what to do. I fully charged it up, still does the same thing. I let it die, then I powered it up again, still does the same thing. Is there a way to fix this. And, if this helps at all, I had my iPod jailbroken 3.1.2 using blackra1n before any of this happened.

try putting into dfu mode. If itunes recognizes it then restore
    Reinstall itunes
    Change usb port/usb cord
