    Well I guess that's called an adapter too...
    I was thinking adapter as in something you plug into the end of your Lightning cable and then plug into your television.

    but but but vga is analog and they said lightning is digital! sounds like it'll be an expensive adapter

    This is Apple. They don't do cheap adapters.

    I see your point though. If the adapter needs to include the digital to analog converter, it will be quite expensive.

    They just use cheap materials in there cables. I hate Apple's crappy wires, both headphone lines and USB cables always break.

    I wouldn't say they are worse than any other manufacturer's cables. They all use the same materials pretty much. The only difference is the profit margin.
