They both do the same thing with about the same speed ... Which uses less RAM/Cpu/battery?
Or anyone have an idea how to tell?

    Thanks

The native should use less RAM/cpu since Apple's is a part of the OS, and Winterboard is a addon that runs on MobileSubstrate which uses CPU.

I'm not sure if It's true or not, jut my theory.

Winterboards is better because it doesn't use the shadows while the apple implemented version does, while making it slower on older (unsupported) devices. But you can still remove the shadows, making it kinda even but since winterboard is a mobile substrate addon it may take up some of your ram

definitly apple's. Winterboard sucks because you cant read the text on bright wallpapers. also the wallpaper is just black when opening a folder. and apple's is available without jailbreak, and it is very fast for me. (@guy over me: there is a reason apple didt allow wallpapers on older devices, so dont say "they suck on older devices" -_______-)

If your take the time to disable the shadows( barely noticeable)
the Native wallpaper is as fast as winterboards
Plus the native wallpaper uses less ram

Winterboard is much faster. All Apple's does is make my iPod extremely laggy.
