    Hey there everyone

I have an iPod touch 2nd gen that I bought off of craigslist. It was banged up a bit when I got it but it was a good deal and it worked fine until now. The xternal speAker stopped working and the sleep button makes the volume go up and doesn't work right. The iPod is still under warenty. Will apple exchange my iPod for a new one even though I'm not the org owner? Will they exchange it at all cause it is so banged up?

    Thanks
    max

They should. Say you got it as a gift and they buyer put it in there name.
If they ask the buyer to come in say there dead. You shouldn't have a problem though.
If the Serial Codes and UUID's match up you should be fine.

They won't do anything because it is banged up, has to be in good condition, no dents, only scratches are allowed

The warranty is tied to the DEVICE itself, not the owner.

I didnt give any information relating to me, or my last name, and when I go to check my warranty status, it only asks for a serial number.

So as long as you have the device, its technically yours, and Apple doesnt even know the name of the owner who bought it because it doesnt require a first/last name...
