    My Complaints:
To much crap in the app store!

    Review process is a joke.

Apps like a fart machine can be accepted but my app which was a client for a website gets rejected for not abiding by human interface guidelines. when the other apps out there like it look exactly the same!

Out of 10,000 apps how many are actually worth buying. About 500-800 I'm being generous here.

SDK Restrictions are crap, iPhone has a super powerful OS where under 25% of usability is accessible to developers. Think of what we could have compared to what we have now!

Apple has let there guard down on what could be the best platform known to man. Android as well as RIM will begin to rise above the iPhone if this continues. Now don't get me wrong, I love my iPhone, but apple has taken a great invention and pretty much put barricades around them selves. Unless we get a HUGE update to the OS soon, other OS's will be approaching.

The iPhone lacks basic features of a cell phone as many of you know.

    No MMS.
    No Copy/Paste
    No Video
    No Forwarding Texts
    No Tethering
2mgpx Camera (which takes a decent Picture)
    No Zoom on Camera
    No Bluetooth Transfer
    No Application Lock

those are just some basic features which you can get on a FREE Razr, but you pay $350 for an iPhone.

(but i love everything, the iPhone does have)
    Sexy Design
    Best iPod i've ever owned
    Damn good web browser
    EMOJI!! (lol)
AT&T service (which is great around here)
3G (basic feature it does include)
    Awesome text messaging application
Simplest cell phone i've ever used

Apple needs to stop letting in LAME applications!

We need ONE flashlight, ONE lighter, ONE fart thing, ONE notepad, etc.

sounds like you are on a scavenger hunt of sorts there buddy... but seriously - beware using the lighter and the fart machine together at the same time - results can be disastrous.

godogshomie - you obviously know more about the ins and outs of the appstore and development process than I do, so I will trust you on this one. I agree about the plethora of lame apps - and I think that having so much crap to wade through is a disservice to the users and is obviously driven by greed on the part of Apple.

the appstore boasts over 10,000 apps about 9,999 of them are flashlights now what you said about a website client that sounds intresting they need to scrap this or everyone will scrap their phones in a bit

yes but can something be improved 9,999 ( I know this is not real and I'm over exaggerating alot ) cant the developers see that their is already too many flashlights the first thing someone will do when they get the go ahead will be I know what we can do lets make a flashlight ! Then no-one will download and they will have wasted $99 wellt thats their fault ( I serouislt dont know what i'm saying now I've gone a bit crazy but its fun getting all my anger out )

Don't like the application, don't buy it. Apple is giving smaller and not as good developers a chance for some criticism and publicity in the App Store. It's a place to learn just as much as it is a place to sell things.

that's the problem, they aren't giving all developers a chance
I bought podcaster on cydia for 4.99
that app didn't get "approved", and the built in podcasting thing is not a full podcatcher
