Finally some confirmation! I called Apple several times and none of them could tell me if it was 10W or 12W, most of them didnt even know the original one was 10W! So glad I wont be forced to buy it for $20 after buying the iPad 4.

That's good to hear. The charging time of the iPad 3 was ridiculous.

Why would you think that something that take more input power would put more output power.

How long does it usually take from a nearly flat battery to full?

Wondering if this would be worth getting for my iPad 3rd gen...how much faster is the 12W actually?

I think it usually takes at least 6 hours...I usually leave it charging overnight tho

Actually I just charged from %1 to %80 in 2 hours flat. Then again I'm using a Griffin cord that can transmit the full 10W, i don't think Apple's cord does.

But its that last 20% that are always the slowest, how long did those take?

Never got there. Had to work. I'm off now and once it gets to 80% I'll start the timer. Nothing will be running and wifi will be on (as this is the most common way wifi iDevices are charged).

Am I the only one who never had my iPad run out of battery life? I wouldn't notice if it charged quicker or not.
