Thinking about it, if it is just facebook, etc. You can get a laptop or nettop and monitor for £300-£400.

You could run any CoD game (MW2, Black Ops, WaW, etc.) fine on a 4670 and almost all EA games.

If you want to run HL2 get a 4330 or something.

The GT 330M in the MBP is a bit better than the 4670 though. Apple should add a 5670 in it though.

So with the Mac App store why do Apple take 30%? At the moment a developer makes a program, they then sell it and get 100% of profits. Why should Apple get 30%?

I don't believe it works that way actually. The 70/30 split is the way it is now i believe. Steve even mentioned while that came up that it is the same as it is now

Apple don't take a 30% split of Mac software at the moment, they have no control over it. The Mac App store just seems like a way to lock down the platform and profit off it.

Yeah I want freedom on my computer to download and install I want from where i want at what price and condition i want. the mac app store is seriously dumb (assuming they actually try to restrict the platform.)

It's not like they are restricting the computer at all. It's an additional thing you will still be able to download off the Internet and everything. I think it will actually be good for Mac development it will open the OS to a huge amount of development. Some really cool apps will be able to be created. Anyway we will see how it goes public
