Ok so from my understanding thus far about the Composite cables is it goes by standard definition(which is the ones i want) and the component are for the higher definitions, which i am in no interest of.

My Main question is when you want to watch movies on your tv from your ipod do your movies have to be in your movies section or for example can you still watch them if they are in dtunes? I have downloaded many movies to dtunes and don't want to have to get them into my itunes and then into my movies section. Another question i have is how good the overall quality and experience is.

Thank you, i much appreciate it.

Don't they just output everything that your device is outputting, ie the Springboard

If not you can use TvOut (Cydia) to display everything on tv

Ok thanks, i looked on youtube and if your ipod is jailbroken then it will display everything on the screen via Screensplitr which i already have.

If you have Component connections buy the component cable because it's the same price and it's digital video. ScreenSplitr isn't the highest quality TV Out app.

if you're looking to connect ur itouch/iphone to tv via thoes cables there is an app called screensplitr but ive been connecting my ipod to my browser (so i can view my ipod) but i think its differant on pc. the way to do this on windows (any browser)

    you will need:
    > USB ipod cable
    > To know your device's name
    > a web browser (ive done it with safari and chrome)
    > iTouch/iPhone that has screensplitr (downloaded from cydia)

    1. Turn on screensplitr by clicking on it (it opend then kicks you out this is fine because thats how it turns on)

    2. put this in your address bar:
    http://x0wn4g33x.local.:8099/screensplitr
but where it has x0wn4g33x put YOUR device name coz thats to connect to mine, u can make it to a shortcut on desktop

    OR

with safari you can click the book icon on top left (not in file like directly down just past the URL bar line) and click on bonjour and double click on your device

YOU CANNOT CONTROL YOUR DEVICE WITH THIS IT IS ONLY FOR VIEWING IT
