App Updates Are Much Quicker in iOS 6 Beta

    Delta updates would be a welcome addition. It seems silly to download the ENTIRE application for a minor update. To do a full install, the person would only have to delete the app before downloading.

    To test whether or not Apple is doing delta updates or not use the usage calculator to check the data sizes.

    Did I have a magical copy of iOS 6 beta 1? The updates have always been hardcore fast for me in beta one... this plus the ability to download free apps without entering a password have both been available in beta 1, for me at least.

    Downloading free apps with no password only worked on beta 4 for me. Strange.

    Test this on 10 iPhone 4S's on iOS 6 and 10 iPhone 4S's on iOS 5, and the results will be more equal. It really depends on the individual device.
