Is there anyway to make an app that tricks websites into thinking your on an iPhone instead of an iPod Touch?

The iPod touch has a different way of telling websites what your using, and most websites only think about iPhones when making mobil versions of sites, so I was wondering if there was a way to alter the way the iPod Touch tells websites what device your using, like spoof it or something rather.

What would that accomplish? There wouldn't really be any reason to do that.

Correct, thats what I want to achieve, I want to be able to visit iPhone web app! Like Myspace for example, they have a iPhone interface, but the iPod touch can't get to it because of the way it tells myspace what browser and everything its using. So I want a way to be able to view sites such as these.

It thinks the iPod touch is like on a normal computer browser, yet its the same as the iPhone.

My mobile site works fine: macscene.890m.com is different from iPod touch or Desktop when you visit it.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox, there is a add-on to customize the user-agent setting. You can install it and adjust it to make you appear as iphone.

google 'firefox user-agent' and get the User-Agent Switcher Add-On
