    Device:
    4G iPod touch
DiskAid or Email the picture to yourself.

Another way is to plug it in, go to My Computer (If you're using Windows) and get them there.

If on Mac, open the app Image Capture.

Also note: None NONE of those require jailbreaking. But I really suggest you update to 2.1. There is nothing useful anymore on 1.1.4.

    Get 2.1 here: http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/softwareupdate.html

You THINK you jailbroke your iPod?...

    Uuumm... ok... well..

If it is 1.1.4, you should sync with iTunes (Easiest way)
    If not, try DiskAid.
    If not, try SSHing.

P.S. If you THINK you jailbroke your iPod, your best bet is to just wait until you are able to sync it with iTunes instead of trying any fancy SSHing.

What do you mean it didn't work with diskaid ?
Did you install it ? Run it , and make sure your iPod was plugged in through USB ?

photos are stored on iPod Touch with 1.1.4 in encrypted .ithmb files. no way with DiskAid!
The only tool I know and which works for windows but costs some bucks is:
    iPod Photo Access

it works 100% and is definetly worth it's price! but if you don't believe or want to test then just download the demo version on the site and try it. it will let you download photos but they're watermarked with a big findley designs logo

there're no free tools for 1.1.4.
I also searched a long long time but only found this one. Bought license and it worked fine
