    Hey all,
Running a 2gen touch (jailbroken 3.1), wondering if there is a decent app that will let me browse all the files on my pc via iphone, and if possible be able to copy them over to the ipod (not essential)
For videos i currently use Air Video which works fantastic, but as you can probably tell that is only for videos.
    Cheers

You could set up a web server on your computer, something like SimpleWWW or the like. You would just be able to navigate to the server's address in safari and use SDM or the download plugin to download files.

I have a SSH server set up on my PC, I just use terminal to copy files back and fourth.

You could have them on your dropbox, and have your PC auto-sync the folders you need to your dropbox.

I had thought about doing this, however the data storage and bandwidth usage is probably the killer for me.

Dropbox can hold up to 2.5 or so GB for free... You get 2 at start and then you can invite other people and stuff to get more. I use it a lot to sync files.

Filezilla for ftp on port 22, make it port forwarded so you can access it out of your lan.

Then select your whole drive to be viewable.

Then on the iphone I am sure there is some ftp viewer.

Alternate is SSH but you need a linux machine, without crap cygwin.

At somewhere else i asked, i was suggested EzShare - this was exactly what I was after! It can read the windows samba shares. are there any other similar apps like this?
