I'm a new iPod Touch 64GB user, and new to iTunes. I had a 40GB iPod (3g?) but never used iTunes to manage it (used Anapod Explorer.)

This version of iTunes is a lot easier to live with than the old version, so far. Here's the problem:

I've downloaded a lot of free apps to my Touch. I manually drag and drop my songs to the Touch. However, it seems like the only way to add photos is to go to the Photos tab, add the Folders, and Sync. When I do that the first thing iTunes does is start transferring all the Apps from the Touch to my PC. Is there any way to stop that behavior? I don't need or want all those Apps on my PC.

Then download the apps on the ipod's appstore.

I did, I downloaded them from the appstore on the Touch. But it's copying them to the PC when I hit Sync to get photos on the Touch.

Maybe another question would be relevant; is there a better (drag & drop) way to get photos on the Touch?

Unfortunately the Sync option isn't checked on the Apps page, only on Photos.

Why does everyone hate syncing photos? You just press sync!

That's because its copying the apps onto your computer.

Yes...that's what the problem is. I don't want the apps copied to my computer.
