SERIOUS BUG in 3.1.1 - App Store on 3.1 messed up....help!!!

Yesterday I updated (not restore) my 2nd gen jailbroken iPod touch running 3.0 OS to 3.1.1. When I go in the App Store I see the following:
    IMG_0001[1].PNG IMG_0002[1].PNG IMG_0003[1].PNG

Yea, the categories page is messed up! Any help?

I would have restored to 3.1.1 instead of an update if not due to the following 2 problems. First, I do not know if a backup backs up my App Store game and app settings and everything, or is it just the pre-installed ones? After a backup-restore-sync, will my iPod be exactly as it was before?

Secondly, I cannot find the IPSW file for 3.1.1. I am running iTunes 9 (which I used to update the OS), but I downloaded the update file while I had iTunes 8.2. Where can I find it?

    Help.

EDIT: I found the 3.3.1 ispw file.

EDIT: I did a fresh restore (not frm backup) and problem still exists

It must be because of upgrading and not restoring.

On vista(or 7) it's on: "C:\Users\Andrey\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates" Mine is Andrey because that's my username..

But I just went ahead and did a restore any, taking the risk of losing all my game and app data. But I would still like to know the answer to my iTunes backup question

I did not solve my problem. I restored to factory defaults twice today - once I restored back to my backup, the second I made a "new iPod" - and both did not work.

Now, since I have lost all my settings, and the problem was not solved, I must restore again to get my data.

This is a serious bug in the 3.1.1 OS I think. Is anyone else having this problem?

OMG! Thats unusual! RESTORE Your iPod touch to Factory settings and take it to Apple! Hopefully the will fix it for you or give you a brand new iPod touch! Either way your problem will be solved as long as you have warranty left!

Guys I am having same issue with itouch 2g running 3.0 os. I didn't upgrade to new firmware and its still messed up. I am assuming maybe apple store issue.

Maybe will have to wait a few days to see if apple fixes problem.
