    Hey,
I want to make a theme, and I need App Store app icons, as they appear on the SpringBoard. I found the images in the .app folders, but they are square and don't have the nice reflections and shadows. Is there any way to get the icon like that, not the unformatted square one?
    Thanks!

You could do so one of two ways:

    Photoshop-
    Put the overlay on manually.

    Upload the icon to Photobucket-
Make a webclip and take its icon.

To get the icons you can always SSH into your iPod Touch. And get the actual icon. Not the artwork the icon. The location of the App Store Apps is
    private\var\mobile\Applications\
They will be listed there. So you can only get the ones you have. If you want other ones either download the free ones, or purchase them.

    Thanks for the tips
Do you know where I could find a photoshop template for this? I have one, but it has a metal border.

iKeablr: I found those, they are not what I want. The ones in there are square, not rounded.

Oh you want the artwork. It is in the same folder. It is called iTunesArtwork
put .png on the end of it. It will load as a regular image. I believe the dimensions are 512x512 px.

I've seen these little AppIconOverlay.png (or something like that) files with the reflection/shadows/glossy effect in an extracted Other.artwork.

iKeablr, I found those files, but they won't be converted by any of the conversion tools I can find (after i rename it iTunesArtwork.png).

They don't need to be converted. I as soon as they have the .png on the end of it, you can open it . Without any special programs.

Works on Mac. But they still are square.
