After I jailbroke my iPot on 1.2.1 I put most of my apps into categories to help organize everything. I put jailbroken and and a few appstore apps into the forlders. A few days ago I decided to restore because my iPod was extremely slow. But now when I resync my iPod none of the appstore apps that were in the categories folders show up on my iPod.. it says they are synced and on my iPod but they don't show.

I also synced from a backup after I restored it from the JB so I dont know if somehow that has anything to do with my missing app icons but...any suggestions on what i did wrong, or how to fix it would be great.

Do i have to re jailbreak and remove all my apps from the folders in categories?
Or could i just restore and not sync from my backup?

Try downloading BossTools and look to see if the icons are hidden. When you put apps into categories, they are considered "hidden" from springboard.

    Settings>General>Restrictions>Enable, then disable

Also, WTF? BossTool does not show hidden icons.

HIDE ICONS in boss prefs... you can hide/unhide icons. icons are HIDDEN when you put them into categories...

I have the same problem, but my settings, bosstools, cydia, and installer were all in folders. Recommendations?

I had upgraded from 1.2.0 to 1.2.1 and was stuck with all the icons missing that I had "hidden" or categorized into folders with the "categorize" app. your seemingly simple post has ended my two day search!!!

    Thanks!
