I've searched, but couldn't find any answers.

On my iPod, it always says that I have all kinds of updates, and they never stop appearing, which would make sense if they were recent updates, but some of these updates are from before I even got my Touch, for example, I got BiiBall 3D Lite the other day and it says I've got an update for it, and the update is from 12/3/08, I've just been telling them to install it, but they just keep coming back.

I had my iPod semi-tethered for a minute, but I gave up on it and restored it to the official firmware, could this be what's causing the problem?

If so, how do I deactivate the iPod from my account so I can take it back and get a new one?

Agreed, also noob question, but how do you add devices to your account here? Like on yours how it says 2G iPod Touch.

Same bug here, I always have 4 updates that refuse to go away. Oh and some apps refuse to even show up on the update screen when I know that there are some updates (I can compare version numbers to the ones on iTunes, they're different but both the iPod and iTunes say no updates available.)
    It's really weird.
