Does anyone know how I can rename the apps as they appear on Springboard?

I'd like to rename some stuff, Photos to iPhoto and so forth...

Also, it wouldn't break the syncing of photos and such... would it?

    iPhone 4S (Black)
    SSH into your Touch
    Go into the application folder
Rename the folder of the app (tetromino.app rename Tetris.app)

The only problem is, if there is an update to it, it will not update properly. You must then rename it back to original, update & then rename to desired name.

I've done that in the past... but does it break the sync of any apps? I'm trying to name Photo to iPhoto.

try it. worst that happens is the sync doesn't work and you have to rename the app folder

lol oh no, not taking any chance that something strange happens and I have to redo my 1.1.3. It's not THAT important to me.

Just wondering if anyone else has done it. (BTW, I know it should be as simple as renaming it back... but you never know!)

I'll try it. Wait a sec.
EDIT: ... I couldn't try cause the name of the folder is "mobileslideshow" but it's showing as photos on the springboard, so I don't know what to change... srry.

I believe that the name of the folder is meaningless, I'm pretty sure its the Info.plist in every app that controls what shows up on the springboard.
