Does anyone know when the app limit will be overidden? I know that most apps are pointless, but I like having a lot of apps on my Touch.

There's an app limit? I have 36 apps, a custom shell script that runs in the background all the time, and 12 of those web clippy things here, 5 pages worth total... seems fine so far. If anything, 1.1.3 seems to use less memory then 1.1.2 did.

apple gave us a limit of 9 pages which gives us a total of 144 apps plus the 4 in the dock for a grand total of 148

You can have a max of 9 Home Screens for 1.1.3. According to Steve Jobs, the Almighty God of Apple Inc.

    Jobs is the Omega.

    your avatar is unique

by the way, I keep my springboard organized. Not gaudy, 4 pages, 1st page, one I use most, 2nd page, really cool things, 3rd fun stuff, 4 web clips. All pages are filled. If I downloaded an application, I either have to:
    -Delete another one
    or
-Add a new page of apps

Apple limits you to 9 pages, but a lot of people are reporting that they can't install more than 83 apps.

Meh, I don't know. I'll probably never have 83 apps on mine, let alone 148. I'm happy with my set up:
    Page 1) Main Apps
    Page 2) Web Clips
Page 3) Utilities (Preferences, customize, terminal, etc)
Page 4) Garbage that would oherwise be hidden. I don't like Poof, and I'm too lazy to edit the 12 plists myself...

Ah ok - 9 pages is the limit

So, you could use BOOKMARKS for your bookmarks, if you run out of space...

    I've got 5 pages
    1) main stuff I use all the time (email, cal, con, etc)
    2) utilities
    3) clippings (9, the rest are bookmarks)
    4) games
    5) crap I want but don't use often - customize, screenshot, textedit, preview, itunes

    )

So seriously, someone has run into the 144 icon or 83 app "limit"?
