    Hello all,

I have a 1st gen iPod Touch that is jailbroken 1.1.4. Currently my home button does not work and i was wondering if there is any application substitute for it. I know of SBSettings however that is not on my Cydia app list. Can anyone help me get this app or any better ones for my problem?

    Thanks

Upgrade your firmware to 2.2.1, there are a few Home button apps.

Yes, but is there a way to upgrade without using the home button?

I thought there were a few auto-DFU java programs.... I can't seem to find one, sorry.

No. DFU is a hardware only operation.

I do not think you need DFU to restore from a xPwn custom firmware. So use xPwn (You need libusb though and if you are on vista or 7 you need to run it in compatibility mode for XP and it can still cause BSOD so be carefull)

You can download it from http://iphwn.org/xpwn/xpwn-windows-nightly.zip. If you need help, since it is a command line tool. Then PM me.
